Charli XCX Plays a Dark Alter Ego of Herself in Mockumentary Teaser
The Grammy-winning artist is gearing up for a significant film appearance in 2026, beginning with the fictional documentary titled The Moment.
Throughout the movie, Charli portrays what she describes as a dark version of herself.

She further explained in a discussion: It’s far from a live performance documentary, however the inspiration came from the pressure to create one.

The initial preview, released on this week, blends actual recordings from her recent tour with made-up behind-the-scenes moments.
The mockumentary is helmed and co-scripted by her collaborator, who shared that the narrative focuses on a reality where the artist made entirely different choices during the promotion of her chart-topping release Brat.
